Session 1: An Insider’s Guide To Financial Advice

In today’s complex financial world it has never been more important to seek expert advice when planning your financial future. But as the Hayne Royal Commission highlighted, it’s a buyer beware market when seeking advice.

Different advisers come with different levels of qualification, experience, and objectivity – how can you be sure you choose an adviser that puts your needs first and what value do they even provide?

With nearly a decade of experience in investing and financial planning, Matthew Vickers, Principal of Snowgum Financial Services, will give you an insider’s look of what to look out for, what to ask and particularly, who/what to avoid.

Matthew has a wealth of knowledge in helping a range of sophisticated clients optimise their wealth management needs and target their unique financial goals.

During this seminar Matthew will explain:

  • How to find and asses the quality of an adviser (and how to spot a dud!)
  • The only 2 sources of value you gain from working with a financial adviser
  • The 4 most common steps to personal financial success

Session 2: Financial Clarity: The 6 Steps For Financial Forecasting

As a business owner we are constantly immersed in our business. We really don’t know how to grow our business profitably or how to attract the investment capital into our business which is required to drive that growth forward. Where do we start or what should we focus on first?

The different options and advice are confusing and never-ending.

Peter knows how to provide the financial clarity and he knows how to grow a business. Peter launched Financial Strategic Insights over three years ago, and in that time it has grown the business from scratch to a company in demand providing financial information and succession and exit planning.

In this session Peter will share the insights into profitable growth – the 6 key elements that have enabled his clients to fully understand how to grow their business profitably, identify the cash requirement under-pinning that growth and have the confidence to talk to investors or banks about the cash injection to deliver that growth.

As business owners you have the following choices:

  1. You can be stressed every day about cash flow, not knowing whether there will be an end in sight.
  2. You can just be doing okay but feel anxious because you know that an injection of cash may be needed but you don’t know when and how much.
  3. You could be strategic in your approach and fully understand the business performance going forward and the cash requirements of the business.

For Peter the 3rd option is the only option. Profitable growth, an understanding of the needs of your business and resulting in time spent on the areas of your business which you enjoy.
