Investment Services

Our Investment Services team is a professional provider of financial planning. We seek to maximise our clients’ wealth through sound financial advice, tailored to individual needs and risk comfort.

Our approach is to focus on the long term financial goals of our clients, providing a detailed plan on how to achieve those goals. We do this by accessing a diverse range of investment and insurance solutions and offering ongoing advice on how to manage these investments to ensure maximum results.

Advice – why we’re different

Many financial planning firms are owned either by an insurance company or a bank who then distribute their own products. At Peter Vickers Investment Services this is not the case – we are not owned or controlled by a financial institution, we only act for our clients.

Additionally, our financial advisors benefit from being part of a group that provide taxation and accounting advice. This means the financial plans we construct for our clients take into account the important taxation impact of the investment strategies recommended.

Our Services include:
  • financial planning and advice
  • share trading
  • tax effective wealth accumulation
  • superannuation
  • retirement planning
  • risk insurance
  • estate planning
  • regular savings plans
  • investment and tax planning
  • gearing strategies
  • Investment Portfolio Design

The process we use at Peter Vickers Investment Services is designed to achieve a balance between individual expectations for return as well as tolerance for investment risk.
Any investment product we recommend must have a proven track record and a strong outlook for growth based upon key investment fundamentals.

We provide expert advice on all aspect of superannuation from public offer superannuation funds through to advice, set up, auditing and administration of Self Managed Super Funds.

From a simple investment property purchase through to a complex commercial property syndicate, we provide you with timely and detailed advice whether in:

  • Listed Property Trusts
  • Property Syndicates
  • Direct Property Investments

To ensure that our clients and their families are financially protected in the event of serious illness, injury or death, we will accurately determine the level of cover required and then source competitive premiums from solid insurance companies.

Direct Share Investments

For clients who prefer direct shares to managed funds, we provide detailed analysis on a leading range of high performing Australian equities across a diverse range of industries.

How we work and what you can expect

We work as a team at Peter Vickers Business Group which means that the advice and recommendations given by our financial advisors will also have been considered from both a taxation and accounting perspective.

Recommendation of financial products will be given only after a comprehensive analysis of your needs, expectations and risk profile has been undertaken.

You will be given a full explanation of the potential outcomes of our recommendations in addition to all the costs involved in implementation.

We will communicate regularly on the performance of your investments and provide timely and on-going advice as needed.

The Financial Planning Process

Step 1:
Initial consultation with one of our experienced financial advisors
During this meeting which will take approximately one hour, we will complete a confidential Client Data Form and Risk Profile Questionnaire. We will request consent to send you documents electronically as per ASIC’s Regulatory Guide 222. Documents to be sent include our Financial Services Guide (FSG) and the Supplementary FSG of the AFS licensee ie your financial advisor. We will also provide a quote for our services.

Step 2:
Agreement to Engage our Services
We will send an “Engagement Letter” for you to sign and return to us.

Step 3:
The Statement of Advice
Upon receipt of the Engagement Letter we will research and prepare a detailed, written financial plan tailored to your specific situation.

Step 4:
Second consultation
At this meeting, the Statement of Advice (SOA) will be presented to you with a full explanation of the projected outcomes of the recommended strategies. Any concerns can be addressed and required amendments to the SOA made.

Step 5:
Joint implementation of the strategies agreed
With the SOA fine tuned, upon signing of an “Authority to Proceed” we will work with you to ensure timely implementation of the strategies agreed. We continue to guide you through the steps to maximise your wealth.

Step 6:
It is important to perform a regular review of your investments and supplementary advice with time and changes to your personal circumstances. This is recommended as required, quarterly, twice a year or at minimum, annually. A date will now be set for the first review.
